A high-level work summary from my professional experience at IKEA / Ingka Group. This describes a proof of concept, not publicly released code; private implementation details are intentionally omitted.

The problem

Developer experience is not only about having the right tools. It is also about knowing where to begin, finding relevant context, and understanding what to do next. I was interested in where agentic assistance could help with that work without making the underlying decisions harder to follow.

My contribution

I co-led the Agentic Developer Portal proof of concept. It brought together my engineering background and my growing product responsibilities, including my role as Product Owner (Acting) from January 2025. My contribution sat at that intersection: connecting a technical possibility with a useful developer problem.

My approach

I approached the work as an exploration, rather than a promise that an agent should handle everything. The important questions were about purpose and boundaries: what help is useful, what context is needed, and where a person should remain in control.

For me, a proof of concept is a way to make those questions concrete. A convincing interaction is a starting point for learning, not evidence of production readiness or broad adoption.

What I learned

I came away with a clearer distinction between demonstrating capability and earning trust. The product question is not simply whether an agent can complete a task. It is whether someone can understand its contribution, check the result, and comfortably decide what happens next.

The problem

Experimentation brings together product questions and technical work. I saw the design challenge as making the technical side easier to work with without hiding the decisions that give an experiment meaning. A shared layer should help teams, not quietly decide their questions for them.

My contribution

I built an experimentation abstraction. The contribution was in the connecting layer: shaping a way to work with experimentation capabilities rather than asking every consumer to engage with all of the underlying complexity.

This summary focuses on that engineering problem, not on private integrations, experiment results, or claims of adoption.

My approach

I treated abstraction as a choice about what should be shared and what should stay visible. Repeated technical concerns can belong behind a common interface. The question being tested, the interpretation of evidence, and the decision to act still need an owner.

That distinction matters because a smaller interface is not automatically a clearer one. I wanted simplicity to mean less unnecessary work, rather than less understanding of what was happening.

What I learned

I learned to judge an abstraction by the decisions it makes easier to express. Good boundaries leave enough room for different needs while giving people a consistent place to start.

The broader lesson for me is that an experimentation platform supports learning. It cannot replace careful questions or turn every result into an obvious next step.

Quality engineering involves more than running tests. I think of it as helping people understand what they can trust, what needs attention, and how to move forward. Shared capabilities need to support that understanding without becoming another layer of complexity.

My contribution

I built quality engineering platforms as part of my engineering work. During my time as a Tech Lead and Senior Engineer at IKEA / Ingka Group from 2019 to 2024, my work included engineering services and test enablement platforms.

My earlier experience at Syntel and Capgemini gave me a foundation across software engineering, testing, and the connection between delivery and business needs.

My approach

I approached enablement as a practical engineering responsibility. A platform should make the useful path easier to find, while leaving teams able to understand and own their work.

The questions I value are straightforward: what is repeated, what can be made clearer, and what information helps someone take the next step? They keep the focus on the people using a capability, not only the components used to build it.

What I learned

I learned to see shared platforms as part of the everyday experience of engineering. Their value is not captured by a feature list alone.

For me, quality enablement means supporting informed decisions and a workable path through complexity. Building the capability matters; making its purpose understandable matters just as much.
